SAW Reverse Big Bang 2025

After 20+ years as a franchise, the SAW movies continue to bring in a dedicated audience of creatives that keep the stories of these characters alive through fan works.
In this collaborative event, SAW fic authors will write works based on art created and submitted by SAW fan artists, working together to create two cohesive pieces that can be posted alongside one another at the end of the event.
If you're interested in participating, Sign-Ups are open, closing for artists on September 26th and closing for writers on September 29th!

Event Rules
- This is an 18+ event. Participants must be over the age of 18 at the time they sign up in order to participate in the challenge.
- AI-generated content is forbidden, both for artists and for writers.
- Joining the Discord server is a requirement for participating in this event.
- Artists and writers in a collaboration team must be able to treat each other with courtesy and respect for each other’s work and time.
- Respect your partner's stated “hard limits”.
- There should be an expectation that many works will include canon typical subject matter. Gore, violence, toxicity, etc.
- Please don’t attempt to orchestrate your collaboration team or talk in depth about your pieces till they are posted.
- Most important rule, HAVE FUN!

Artist Guidelines- Art must pertain to the SAW franchise. Can be as open ended or specific as you’d like, but NEEDS to serve as a prompt for a writer. Please do not treat this like a commission.
- You will be required to submit a minimum two sentence prompt alongside your art, as well as a written description of the art. You will also have to include any potential must haves, hard limits, and necessary tags for your art.
- As of right now, artists may only submit one concept for claims.
- Your piece should be at a minimum 75% finished at the time of claims.
- All work must be completely new and original for this event, never shared in any form publicly with others.
- Any form of visual art will be accepted! Including but not limited to digital, traditional, photo or video edits, giftsets, etc.
- Images should be of a minimum 500px width, with no maximum size limit
- Any character depicted in a mature or explicit sexual situation should be 18 years or older.

Writer Guidelines- All work must be completely new and original for this event, never shared in any form publicly with others.
- The story must be a minimum of 5,000 words. There is no maximum.
- Must a complete work on the day of posting, able to be read and understood as a “stand-alone” story.
- Be clearly connected to/inspired by the artwork chosen during claims.
- Be written in English and beta-read for spelling and grammar before posting.
- Comply with any requests, descriptions, themes, or other “hard limits” disclosed by the artist during claims.
- Be appropriately tagged during posting to indicate all relationships and tropes within the work.
- Writers can only claim one art submission in the initial round of claims. If claims go for multiple rounds, any second submission taken on by individual writers will be subject to the mods' discretion.
- This bang is small enough that you may register as both a writer and an artist, but be reasonable about the amount you can take on.
